Skanda Harisha
Skanda, received his bachelors in Electronics and Communication from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore, India in 2022. He has interned and subsequently worked at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore on some interesting stuff, mostly related to radars and communication. He loves to discuss deep tech startup ideas. Next time you have an idea, you know whom to talk to.
Sepideh Ghasemi
Sepideh earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Telecommunications, from the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran in 2021. During her undergraduate studies, her research was focused on electromagnetic material characterization using time-modulated structures. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. Eid, with a research focus on mmIDs, backscatter communication, and radar signal processing. Outside of academia, Sepideh enjoys swimming, listening to psychology podcasts, and indulging in coffee and cakes—especially Danish ones! To make her happy, consider treating her to a berry Danish and a large hot latte or challenging her to a game of Foosball!
Yunfei Liu
Yunfei earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computing from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with the highest distinction, where his undergraduate research focused on Bluetooth Low Energy and Ultra-wide Band localization. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan under the guidance of Prof. Aline Eid, specializing in wireless communication and signal processing. Outside of his research, Yunfei is a passionate cooking enthusiast with over 10 years of experience, especially in Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine. When he’s not immersed in his studies, you’ll often find him experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen!
Master’s Students
Longyu Guo
Longyu graduated from the Communication University of China in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering. She is passionate about electromagnetism and, during her undergraduate studies, worked as a research assistant at the State Key Laboratory of Media Convergence and Communication, focusing on antenna design projects. She is currently in her second year of graduate school, specializing in Applied Electromagnetics and RF Circuits. Outside of her academic pursuits, Longyu enjoys cooking, exploring various cuisines, and is dedicated to learning new things and expanding her knowledge and skills.
