I am an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. I direct the Beam Dynamics group where our research focuses on wireless sensing, ultra low power backscatter communications, and wireless power transfer. Prior to joining UoM, I was a Postdoctoral Associate at the MIT Media Lab with the Signal Kinetics group. I received my Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2021), and my Master’s from the American University of Beirut (2017).
A fun Q&A with me here.
Our Mission:
At Beam Dynamics, our goal is to build systems that use mmWave and sub-THz electromagnetic waves to solve pressing technological and societal issues. We are interested in utilizing focused energy beams as a mean to probe, image, and energize engineered targets to help shape the future of sustainable energy networks, smart cities and infrastructures, and autonomous robots and vehicles.
I am always on the lookout for motivated Ph.D. students. If you are interested in joining our group, please send me an email with your CV and a brief description of your background.
